Siri has more than 21 years experience in optometry. After graduating with Honours from University of New South Wales, she broadened her expertise through more than 10 years of fly-in-fly-out locumming experiences that gave her exposure to a wide range of eye conditions she could treat. She is also therapeutically endorsed through the University of Melbourne and is qualified to prescribe therapeutics medicine to treat a wide range of symptoms.
Furthermore, Siri is the only optometrist in Broken Hill that can assist with CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) Medical Certificate. Application and renewal can be arranged during your appointment.
Siri also consults emergency patient cases. She liaises closely with Ophthalmology Consultant, Registrars and other allied health practitioners to provide the best solution for all your eye care needs.
Many of Siri’s patients loves her good sense of humour. She loves the relaxed and friendly people of Broken Hill. Following a period of locumming in Broken Hill, she decided to settle here with her husband, practice manager and optical dispenser, Joe Demarco.
Siri and Joe is supported by Nicole Wheatley, the customer service specialist, who has a strong interest in the eyewear fashion industry. Nicole sources the latest eyewear locally and internationally so our patients have access to the latest trend in the industry.
